The 52nd bi-annual Paris Airshow took place last week in style, as hundreds of Aerospace companies flocked to demonstrate the latest and coolest developments in the industry. Everything was on show, from Airbus’ new jumbo wingtips, to AeroMobil’s new flying car, and of course, Valuechain was there to join the party. Our team were up bright and early on Monday, to join the Northwest Aerospace Alliance in Hall 2B, and soon learnt just how busy the Paris Airshow can be. Following 3 product launches, 2 product acquisitions in recent months, it seems the world was watching, as everyone from Global Primes, to Tier-2 and Tier-3 companies attended the Valuechain stand to get a glimpse of our latest software.
DNAam Solves Critical Issue in Additive Manufacturing
The latest version of our DNA Production Control software, DNAam for Additive Manufacturers, tackles a problem that has emerged through extensive use of Additive Manufacturing to produce flying parts. The parts must be produced to comply with the same AS9100 and NADCAP standards, however, currently no system provides a solution to this issue, until now.
The recent successful implementations of DNAam at Airbus UK and Zenith Tecnica has been publicised in recent months in Aerospace Manufacturing Magazine. Several Global primes, Tier-1s, and sub-contractors visited the stand to see what the system had to offer. Particular enthusiasm was shown towards the automated and intuitive powder traceability functionality.
New Supply Chain Management Portal
The recent acquisition of the supply chain management portal, Supplier Portal, that was announced last week, generated significant interest from several Global Tier-2 and Tier-3 companies. The promise of collaborative NCR management and online expediting was of interest.
Still a Growing Need for Dashboards
Despite the need for data analytics being apparent for several years now, a number of companies are still looking for a better, easier way to represent their data. With more data being generated all the time, from new technologies, and the internet of things, it is important to get right. Valuechain’s new Insights platform provides a consolidated solution to analyse all manufacturing data, in one convenient location. Roaming visitors from companies of all sizes stopped to get a look at the latest smart dashboard solutions from Valuechain.
Auditing Still a Pain in the Neck
Valuechain’s new mobile auditing app attracted visitors at every tier, as it offers an effortless solution to a common cause of headaches for Quality Managers and subsequent team members. The streamlined method of conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP was of interest to nearly all who walked past the valuechain stand.
iQluster Going Strong
iQluster continued to intrigue Global Industry Associations, from UK, Germany, Thailand, Czech and Canada, who received a hands-on demo of the latest updates and reskinning. The portal is still in development stages, but managed to wow attendees, with its innovate approach to supply chain mapping.
The Paris Hairshow
The Paris Airshow, turned into the Paris Hairshow late on Wednesday afternoon, after an entertaining reception on the Gore stand. The producers of Gore-tex held a business-card raffle, in which our own Colin Reardon won a Magnum of Champagne….
