DRL Beta Version Launched at International Business Festival in Liverpool

27 Jun 2018

The new Digital Readiness Level Tool was launched at the International Business Festival in Liverpool by cross-industry partners The Manufacturer, High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Digital Catapult, Knowledge Transfer Network, Digital Engineering and Test Centre, and HSSMI.

Speakers from these organisations, alongside industry leaders, including Lynne McGregor of Innovate UK and a number of manufacturers and technologists enthusiastically explaining how the DRL-Tool should help UK businesses boost productivity with digital technologies.

DRL-Tool has been developed and tested over 18 months by industry, for industry; and the initiative has been spurred on by the vision of industrial digitalisation set out in the Made Smarter Reviewpublished in November 2017. It has been designed to help companies align digital strategy with their business strategy; covering all business aspects from leadership to technology to value creation including customer, supplier, operations and personal change management, and finance.

DRL-Tool aims to clarify the often confusing landscape of industrial digitalisation and support, and to signpost willing companies to the right specialists to help them make rapid progress.

Powered by Valuechain’s secure supply chain intelligence platform, the online diagnostic and benchmarking service is free to access; and customer data remains the property of the customer. You choose who gets to see your data, for example in other departments or division of your company.

Already, there are more than 70 ‘Digital pioneers’ trying out the free online diagnostic and benchmarking service. If you are a manufacturer or supplier or operator trying to make progress with digital technologies, check out DRL-Tool.org for yourself and take your first steps to becoming a Digital Champion.

Once you have completed the online DRL-Tool diagnostics and reviewed your benchmarked position, DRL-Tool.org offers tailored workshop support from experts to help you roadmap and plan your digital journey from ‘digital outsider’ to ‘digital champion’.

Please contact the DRL-Tool team to discuss how we can help UK businesses to boost productivity and take full advantage of digital technologies:
